love that quote! this year my new year's resolution was to get closer to god, but i've hit a standstill. i was raised catholic, went to catholic school all my life always went to church with my mom. But there was a point in time where i second guessed my faith. i mean, how does each religion or faith know that THEY'RE the ones believing in the right god and going to heaven? what if their gods are the REAL god? i figured out myself that THAT is the true meaning of faith.
another thing was, i heard just recently, a pastor told me, that as long as you accept jesus christ as your personal savior, you're going to heaven no matter WHAT you do in your life. and he also said that whether you sleep on the bed or sleep on the floor is a different story (who CARES! i'll sleep standing as long as i'm up there lol) but i don't understand that, because then why would there be 10 commandments? why would God want you to just accept him and then go on your way without praying to him or anything of the sort. isn't our god a jealous god?
and then there's always the question of if homosexuality, murder, adultery, theft, polytheism & all the other "bible forsaken" things that happen in this world, why would God create them? If God wanted a perfect Earth, God could have one right?
